Fake Rolex Watches, and Viagra pills have been the theme of most spam I got this month. Maybe a bottle of counterfeit clone, some grease for my hair, and a slice of garlic toast could complement the package so I could chase around some ladies or prepare for a trip to Las Vegas!

Plan A:
1. make a product with ok design and deliver only half or your promises. Instead of hiring knowledgeable people, hire those with little schooling, knowledge and experience because they cost less, but they can duck tape your projects and make them seem work. Deadlines have to be met, quality goes to the dog. Just build as you go, no design process, no nothing, becuase your incompetent team doesn’t have the knowledge and training for those fancy stuff, and things will take much longer that it actually requires anyway. One more grerat thing about this, you always look smarter than your employees too.

2. Hire a kick ass Marketing team to put on a dog an pony show and a wonderful advertising campaign.
3. Blindfold your customers and saturate their lives with your junks.
4. dominant the market, so people have no other choice but your junks. This is absolutely essential, so your clients who want to switch to better alternatives would fail, and they will be made fun of by their friends. Some might even call them Gay for not following the norm!

NOTE: You generate such a huge profit that you can afford to go and make another mediocre product.

5. go back to step one. and repeat this loop

Plan B:
because plan A doesn’t really solve peoples problems, and doesn’t satisfy their needs, start a second company that partially cures the short comings of Plan A, but follow the same model as Plan A.

Plan C: start another company to serve short comings of Plan B
Plan D: start another company to serve short comings of Plan C

…. keep going

In the end you’ll have several companies and employ tons of people. You are considered a good citizen, you may as well be able to influence the politics and change the President.

Example 1:
1. Make fast food that gives everyone heart attack
2. Make drugs to delay heart attack
3. Make low fast, high sugar products promise weight loss
4. Make drugs to delay cancer

Example 2:
1. Make Operating systems with all kinds of problems it it, dominant the market so even a kid could infect 90% your market share writing a virus.
2. start several security companies to patch all the wholes of that operating system and write all kinds of virus, worm, and maggot killers for your OS.
3. lots of technicians look smart and run a business carrying your certificates because they can reformat your hard drive as the last solution.

I just got the following chain letter in my mailbox right now. At first it seemed like a SPAM although they were kind enough to mention the sources too. Steve Balmer is my favorite standup comedian ( Oooops! There goes my chance of getting a job in Microsoft! ); he may as well be the missing link to relate us to our primate ancestors too. Anyhow I found the following news kindda interesting.

By the way here is the Balmer’s Developers remix video it is priceless!

COURT DOCUMENTS:
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer Vowed to “KILL” Google

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer vowed to “kill” Google in an
expletitive-laced, chair-throwing tirade when a senior
engineer told him he was leaving the company to go work
for Google, the engineer claimed in court documents made
public on Friday.

In a sworn statement made public Friday, Mark Lucovsky,
another Microsoft senior engineer who left for Google in
November 2004, recounted Ballmer’s angry reaction when
Lucovsky told Ballmer he was going to work for the search
engine company.

“At some point in the conversation, Mr. Ballmer said:
‘Just tell me it’s not Google,’”Lucovosky said in his
statement. Lucovosky replied that he was joining Google.

“At that point, Mr. Ballmer picked up a chair and threw it
across the room hitting a table in his office,” Lucovosky
recounted, adding that Ballmer then launched into a tirade
about Google CEO Eric Schmidt. “I’m going to f***ing bury
that guy, I have done it before, and I will do it again.
I’m going to f***ing kill Google.”
Schmidt previously
worked for Sun Microsystems and was the CEO of Novell.

Montreal is known as the city of Saints, all the streets are named after saints. There are also churches all over the place; Mark Twain once said: “This is the first time I was ever in a city where you couldn’t throw a brick without breaking a church window”

Apparently the number of people who attend church has dropped dramatically in the last 30 years, to the point that many churches are now up for sale. When I get rich I don’t mind buying one; I could probably hire a good Interior Designer to turn it into a snazzy loft for me. What would be next? A goth girlfriend maybe!

Montreal is also know for it’s sinful night life. I also noticed the strip/nude clubs are open right in the middle of the day. On Saint Catherine street one can see boutiques and strip/nude clubs on every block.

City also has a very interesting Gay Village, apparently they live very rich and successful lives, and they are very well accepted by people. There are also pockets of different ethnic groups ( African, Asian, Italian, Greek, Jewish, Persian, … ) all over the city.

People look very well dressed, the whole street looks like an urban fashion show. In fact Design is a commodity in Montreal, unlike Vancouver that Design and Art is more like an added value.

Montreal Women are great Fashion experts. Every woman on the street has tastefully put together pieces of clothes and matched the earthy colors. They have a healthy skin glow and I was enlightened to see the large number of beautiful brunets, and brown eye ladies on the street.

Montreal ladies are also very proud of their legs and feet. I must say they are not afraid to show them at all. Everyone seemed to have a nicer pair of shoes or sandals compare to our West Coast Gales. They are so bold when they show skin, and walk with great confidence.

To be more convincing I wish I had more pictures of people, but I was too chicken to stick my lens to people’s faces. Well … next time that you see an issue of Nuvo, or Wall paper magazine flip through the pages and here they are, with no compromise.

Unlike all the bad reputation that French have here in West Coast for being snobs I found the Montreal people to be very friendly. They seem to feel very comfortable ice breaking with the strangers. They are also very kissie huggie once they get to know you better. Cross cultural and Inter-racial dating seems more common that West Coast, which is another evidence of a healthy multicultural ecosystem in Montreal city.

I arrived Vancouver last night. The flight took longer this time. I think it took me 4 hours to go from Vancouver to Montreal and 5 hours to come back.

I found it very difficult to leave Montreal; I actually made some friends there in my 3 days of stay; something that could have taken much longer in Vancouver. It is amazing how people can differ East Coast to West Coast. I still have quite a number of pictures and comments about Montreal that I will post soon once I get the time. I know it is not the best practice of journalism to be couple of days late posting the events, but that’s not why I’m blogging here.

Yes I do! I need a better Digital Camera, some fat memory cards, and enough time just to show you a pinch of Montreal. I spent the last 9 years in West Coast Canada mainly Vancouver BC, and now I am starting to doubt whether I picked the right city to live in.

I am staying in the Place D’armes Hotel ( I really recommend it btw ) which has the most beautiful lounge ever called Suite 701. You spend a night here, it looks like a scene out of the Wallpaper magazine, with no compromise. Coincidently my apartment number in West Vancouver is 701 too!

Here are the first set of photographs, they are mainly buildings. First impression that I had from Montreal is all about the beautiful Architecture that is evident on every street. Apparently the long cold winters forces people to spend quite a bit indoors and create social circles, which is why they put so much effort on Interior Design, Food, and Fashion. I’ve got more to say, but I need to sit in a corner and write.

Get these photographs from me for now, and I’ll post more of what I think about Montreal, and it’s people.

And sorry Vancouver folks you’ve got years to catch up with the French. 2 days in Montreal out-washed 9 years of my Vancouver experience. Could be becuase I am more of a city person!

I am going to a four day trip to Montreal this Sunday. It wasn’t really planned, but my Dad, and younger brother slowly got me into it. They are more spontaneous that I am. I will be taking my Digital Camera and Laptop with me, becuase I’ll be doing some freelance work while on the Vacation. It is not work-work, more like fun-work.

It is my first time going there; I’ll keep you posted with nice pictures from the French side of Canada.
