Premier Family Matters Calendar is born
We have launched a new Calendar Creation Site in Premier. It belongs to Premier Home and Family department which is now being directed by my ex-boss ( now good friend ) Mr. John Koetsier.
Basically you can sign in to this website, upload bunch of high quality pictures, edit them, crop them and for only 25.00 $ have a beautiful shiny calendar made for yourself.
The web app is written by my colleague Mike Skovgaard a self taught Perl/Mason master in our department. Website also uses some snazzy AJAX technology to operate. it is really cool and simple to use and for that price you would be out of your mind not giving it a try

Hapa Izakaya Tapas Bar / Restaurant
I have found this gorgeous Tapas Bar/ Restaurant on Robson street. They have excellent Chocolate Martini and a list of exotic Japanese cuisine, that I cannot even remember their names. Prices are very reasonable, wonderful friendly staff, place has a very modern espresso finished interior with beautiful urban Asian style furniture. Food is tasty and decorated beautifully. Place is packed with people; it is a great atmosphere to get together with friends or have a date with that special person.
So if you want to see the waitresses with their sleek clean hair cuts, modern natural, yet colorful makeups wearing black capri pants and flip flops … you really want to check this place out.
You know what! … I’ve learned something new about myself. I have this thing for Japanese girls, they are true city girls and know how to take care of their look. Besides they seem to be one of the most delicate works of Nature.

Firefox tops 11% global market share

My favorite browser Firefox has finally reached it’s target. The original target was 10% by the end of 2005. I was suprized that some major portals such as ZD Net and News.com didn’t even bother mentioning it.
Firefox is currently standing at 11.5% global Market share, and holds 14.5% market share in US. Internet Explorer is now down to 85.5% globally and 80.7% in US.
It would be interesting to see these numbers at the end of 2006.
Firefox is an Open Source browser with superior features compare to Internet Explorer. The ones that I care about are:
1. Better compliancy with W3C standards: Meaning that websites render much better and faster in Firefox. Internet Explorer has so many CSS, and javascript bugs, if it wasn’t because of IE we could have had AJAX long time ago.
2. Better Security: yes despite some recent security reports firefox is still far more secure than Internet Explorer.
3. Ad Blocker
4. Tabbed Browsing
5. ability to add or remove extensions
