Wine , Spicy goat cheese, Baguette, and Cilantro

Spending an evening with my girlfriend, we had sea food pasta afterwards, went for a nice walk by the ocean and now we are going to watch the movie “Underworld: Evolution - it’s about the saga of war between the aristocratic Death Dealers and the barbaric Lycans (werewolves)”.

Great way to start a weekend.

My Dad

This weekend I had a chance to take some picture of my Dad. He has years of experience in Management and International Trade. He is currently working as a Investment Advisor at Wolverton Securities. He has been a great dad for us, always there to help and guide. He is my hero.

Finally I'done my taxes for this year

I finally got the chance to do my taxes this weekend. I had to sort through and organize tons of receipts, categorize, organize, and make a mess in my apartment floor.

Turned out most of my business costs last year were in following simple categories:

  • Computer Hardware
  • Computer Software
  • Stationery and Art Supplies
  • Coffee ( tons of it )
  • Client Gifts (wine, chocolate, flowers)
  • Business meeting bills at restaurants ( lots of sushi there … )
  • Transportation costs

Fortunately it’s all done, and the visit to the accountant is all done too. So glad its over, well at least until next year :)

Ready, Set, Go ...

Start of a new day with a fresh cup of coffee. It is Fare Trade Organic Sumatra from JJBeans. Coffee is a sensory experience and one has to take a moment to enjoy it.

I mean the experience should not be like hastily putting gas in your car before getting to work.

Chocolate Earlgrey Tea

I came down with mild flue symptoms today. Stuffy head, nasal congestion, and sneezing. It’s probably because I’ve been working long hours on my recent project ( my 3rd online eLearning software ) and I have been getting little sleep lately. So I decide to work from home and I have to keep myself inspired right?

It is black tea with somewhat strong chocolate aroma. It’s goooood!

ps: Wow! this is the 3rd post in one day. That’s a bit unusual for my blog :)

I really like Wikipedia specially when it has such an accurate description of who I am.

Fever - From Cabaret Blue Star

I love photography using the available light. Why is it that many photographers still perceive a good photograph as evenly exposed subjects with super soft light? I think all the light and shadows in a composition have to be preserved as they are; I think Flash is a real mood killer; it makes the extraordinary ordinary.

Interior Designers and Architects master the art of lighting in their designs. They use primary, and secondary light sources to create the right mood for the space, or structure that they are planning for. Same principals could be applied to photography too.

This image was sitting in my portfolio and yet I didn’t have it up on my Flickr account. It is taken using available light as I usually like to do it. Juanita is a professional Ballet and Jazz dancer.
