Ice Tea

Ingredients

  • 3 cups water
  • 7 tea bags
  • 3 to 6 sprigs of mint
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 (6 ounce) can frozen lemonade

Directions

Ina medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Remove from the heat anddrop in the tea bags and mint sprigs. Allow to steep 8 to 10 minutes.Remove and discard the tea bags and mint sprigs. Stir in the sugar andlemonade. Chill again or serve over ice cubes.

Makes about 3 cups; 1 cup per serving.

Ice Tea

Ingredients

  • 6 Orange Pekoe tea bags
  • 6 1/4 cups cold water
  • 1 cup cranberry juice cocktail
  • 2/3 cup thawed frozen passion-fruit juice concentrate or thawed frozen passion-fruit purée*
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • sugar to taste, if using passion-fruit purée

Directions

Put tea bags in a heat-proof pitcher. In a saucepan bring water just to a boil and pour over tea bags. Steep tea, covered, 3 minutes and discard tea bags. Chill tea, covered, until cold. Stir in remaining ingredients, stirring until combined well.

Makes about 7 cups.

Ice Tea

Ingredients:

  • 2 regular tea bags
  • 1 apple spiced tea bag
  • 1 pinch baking soda
  • sugar to taste
  • 2 quarts cold water
  • 1 cup boiling water

Directions:

Drop tea bags in boiling water, boil 3 minutes. Add the pinch of baking soda.Remove from heat and discard tea bags. Pour hot mixture in to pitcherof cold water. Sweeten to taste with sugar. Serve over ice.

Ice Tea

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 tea bags
  • 1 three-inch piece of gingerroot, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
  • 4 sprigs mint

Directions:

Heat water to boiling. Add tea bags, gingerroot and orange peel; remove from heat. Steep 10 minutes; remove tea bags.

Let stand 30 to 60 minutes. Place mint in ice-filled glasses. Strain tea over ice. Strain and refrigerate any remaining tea.

Ice Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 5 cups boiling water
  • 5 tea bags-green or black tea
  • 1 can (12 ounce size) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 1 quart sparkling water, or seltzer
  • Ice

Directions:

Clean and trim the strawberries. Place them in a bowl with the sugar-mix to coat and set aside. Steep the tea bags with the boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and cool.

Stir the cooled tea into the strawberry mixture. Add the lemonade. Place in a large pitcher and chill. Before serving stir in the seltzer and pour over ice cubes in pretty glasses.

Ice Tea

Ingredients:

In a 30 cup coffee maker add:

  • 1 gallon of apple juice
  • 1 quart of water
  • 32 raspberry herbal tea bags
  • 16 regular tea bags
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup of sugar or equivalent sugar substitute

Directions:

Run through a complete heating cycle in the coffee maker, Turn off coffee maker and let sit in the pot until cooled to room temperature. After rinsing out the apple juice’s jars, pour the Apple Tea into the empty jars and a pitcher. Keep it cool and serve over ice.

Ice Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 quart strong tea (any black or green variety)

Directions:

Combine all the ingredients and pour over ice cubes in tall glasses.
