Sounds like heaven to me!

I am in Waves Coffee on Commercial Drive, Vancouver, BC.

They are open 24/7 and have free wi-fi with lots of electrical outlets on the walls.

I think I won’t be going home tonight!

Is there a cure for this?

Brewster's Coffee

Forget Delany’s, forget Starbucks!

Brewster’s coffee is right outside my office and it is now operating under a new management. Her name is Yoshihime Killick, and she is a sweetheart. Best of all I can sit here, and still have Wi-Fi access to my office internet connection.

Life is beautiful!

Yay! we have new categories now Our community of 145 people on www.Tazzu.com needed to become more diverse because it is too Technology focused right now, so we decided to make it more inviting for people of different backgrounds.

So we created new categories such as: Photography, Graphic Design, Makeup Artistry, Music, Theater, Creative Writing, Journalism, and .. . you may as well check it out for yourself.

Tazzu members are sweet hearts, they talk about everything under the sun, exchange business tips, and answer each other’s questions and those who can, meet up for coffee or beer. We like the diversity of our community, and would like to keep it that way.

Membership is free everyday is a party and everybody is invited. You don’t have to be from Vancouver, or Canada or North America. If you like to share what you know and learn from others what you didn’t now, you are always welcome here.

We are also very tough on trolls and spammers, We grill them on BBQ and feed them to the fish in the sea.

Vancouver is a gray city, it just rains so much here. This year specially we’ve only had few month of sun and that was it. Gush I miss those sunny days on the South Granville Street, and how happy and summary people look like.

But again rainy days could be fun too. Coffee shops are cozy, and it is the best time for Tea, Jazz, reading, or writing. Foggy windows, and people who are crammed on the coffee shop seats, kids who run around high on sugar, young couples who are on the first date, those with crazy outfits and fashion, Yuppies and their laptops (I happen to be one actually!), this is quite an atmosphere.

Trevi Fountain - Roma, Italia

Last summer I was in Rome, standing at the Trevi Fountain which is supposed to be the world’s Wishing Fountain. At the time I was working for a large corporation as a Web Application Architect, and I was taking that vacation after a 6 month of working on a pet project. That was 10 hour work days including the weekends. No I didn’t get paid for the overtime hours. I was exhausted, frustrated and unhappy.

One of my 3 wishes was that someday I become self employed; to become the President of my own company. My other wish was, OF COURSE to go back to Rome again! and the third wish remains to be a secret.

Few month after, one of my wishes has been granted. I started my own Software Company, and shortly after started a second company with a wonderful Partner. Goodbye corporate world!

Now life is so beautiful. No more long commutes, no more corporate monkey business. It is no longer the 4 letter word “WORK”, it is now “Play”, “Play”, and more “Play”.

Now It is about my ideas, my opinion, my vote. It is now collaboration, communication, picking and choosing clients that are happy to work with me, or else Good Bye, and so long. That means flexible hours, weekends, more downtown trips, more photography, more drawing, more book reading, and basically having a life.

Summer of 2008 I will be going back to Rome. Here I am releasing that wish to the Universe once again!

So I started another new company last week, you’ll be hearing about it soon, and I am having so much fun to see that my dreams of becoming self employed and what I have been cooking in the last 7 years has finally happened. Everything has been falling in the right place just like a well written script of a movie. It must be the magic of number 7 in 2007.

I love what I do! I think Software Architecture is the closest thing to a love affair. My work and personally life over lap in many areas. Even on the weekends I spend time reading marketing or technical books just for the fun of it. It is my idea of relaxation, and it feels as nice as when I am doing photography, or freehand drawing.

My girlfriend thinks I am one of the very few people people who absolutely loves his job. No kidding, I dropped out of Dentistry School to become a Computer Scientist, and what would I do without the Internet?

Well … my Girl Friend and I are about to go and watch the movie “Pan’s Labyrinth”, time to go …
