A mule is an animal with long funny ears
Kicks up at anything he hears
His back is brawny but his brain is weak
He’s just plain stupid with a stubborn streak

A pig is an animal with dirt on his face
His shoes are a terrible disgrace
He has no manners when he eats his food

Yes! I know! I’m working on it!

We feel down when think we have no more options ahead of us. No options means no hope for the future, it goes against the very basic meaning of life. It means death. That’s what leads people to become suicidal, because they don’t see any more options, they are unable to see them, or they are unable to create more of them.

Every moment of our lives could be the starting point to many opportunities out there. We all feel down from time to time. I do too, and when that happens I start looking for new options. A healthy portion of my life is dedicated to seeking and creating more options. Then I decide which path to take. After all, what we become in the future is the result of decisions we make today.

Creating options requires inspiration. Learning to be inspired and stay inspired takes practice. It is a skill that can be learned, and I am getting better at it everyday. What makes us inspired could vary from person to person.

I seek inspiration from People. Those who are my friends and those who aren’t my friends yet. When I draw, photograph, start a software development project, read a book in a coffee shop they all somehow have the human factor in common. People come in all shapes and forms. Their personalities are drastically diverse. They are either so intelligent or infinitely stupid and ignorant. As humans we are not perfect, but we can be very courageous. That makes us worthy of becoming sources of inspiration.

I didn’t go to the Showboat Swing at Kitsilano yesterday. I don’t think if it ever happened because of the bad weather. Now I am getting the withdrawal symptoms! Damn it! I need to watch some follows swivel, jump and jive.

You know! I don’t really listen to heavy metal actually. The last time I’ve listened to a whole HM song was probably couple of years ago. I am a Swing, Jazz, Blues, and Electronica kind of person. But for some reason playing heavymetal is pretty fun!

Aren’t you sick of this song yet? good! here is another version. As a kid I’ve always liked cartoons specially this one. Heaven knows I still do! I must say the way she sways around and treats all the men like puppies is kinda cute!

My friend Amanda took this portrait of me when we were in a fund raising party. This is the best portrait of me in the last 2 years. I have this unfair disadvantage that most people around me do not know how to take a decent picture. Amanda is a Wedding and Portrait photographer and she is a sweetheart. So despite having puffy tired eyes and a crooked nose I still look pretty good here, not to mention I seem to have more hair too.
